South korean intelligence believes North Korea has so far supplied Russia with about 12 million 152mm shells so far this year. Reminder that most analyists believe Russia’s soviet-era shell pile of 152s was around 16million strong and its current annual output is believed to around 3million. The best estimates out there seem to indicate that Russia’s fired about 22million shells so far, however as time go on it appears to be favouring firing lower quality but cheaper to obtain North Korean shells whilst trying to preserve its new production for deterence against NATO.
