Finland has conscription and as such all males have to serve a minimum 6 months in the army. Being locked in for 6 months with no female contact can be quite the challenge. So high command came up with a plan: From each squad or room ("tupa", literally translates to cottage) one member gets chosen to be the designated "tupapillu" or squad/room-pussy, free to be used by the other members of the squad. This is that persons war time assignment as well to be used as morale booster/stress relief by the other members.
