it wont take even 10 years. what you see (from an anthropocentric pov i may add) as a silly situation is rather deadly, and technolgy wont be needed. dont forget, they communicate through chemicals and smell. there's 100x more of them than us right now. maybe more. they can live in most environments. they swarm. we are not the same. they have a whole caste of warriors that will fuck you up with enough numbers
