Easily a 2/10. DT dips its toes into a myriad of interesting subject to tell you "wow isn't that interesting?" before immediately returning back to wuk lamat's quest to become hokage. Honestly I don't HATE her from post EW to some early on parts of DT but as the story drags on, the sheer incompetence of the writing really shows with her being the "for the people" choice of the 3 siblings yet everytime she encounters a new culture within the msq, she's absolutely flabbergasted at how they operate and what they value. That isn't to say there aren't other issues. The entirety of Bakool Jaja's motivation/nearly cartoonish villainy is absolute trash. Feeling guilty about a bunch of stillborn children created in attempts to make you does not make it suddenly fine to release the nation-ending Turaal Vidral upon the innocents to slow down your competition for the throne. The Alexandria section is also incredibly weak, Sphene is supposed to be portrayed as a sort of prisoner [due to her programming and forced to seek the worst solutions for her people but at no point does she even entertain the idea of a different solution. She just kinda... Takes the worst possible one that ends up in the most suffering and dies on that hill. While she does seem nice enough to take in the Turali refugees, that only creates more issues with her. So if we join you, we won't get genocided but we will actively take up resources you're desperately trying to acquire so you'll have to genocide another world? Ma'am you're fucking retarded for an AI. Also the Endless are presented as straight up just people. This wouldn't be a problem if there wasn't so much room for discussion and exploration on the topic. They could've left it open ended or up to the player to determine if they're truly alive or not but instead they vaguely tease the idea then just go "nah they're totally just whoever they were in life 100%" which is... incredibly boring.
