That is one way to put it. Not that I care about normie opinions but as a measuring stick it's a fun thought experiment, what would X or Y say if they saw these shows, if I had to introduce a parent or even a kid to anime I'd just start them off with Ghibli and keep them as far away as possible from modern shounen.

Even as a kid I had issues with typical shounen bullshit (so think every time Naruto throws a fit) but they were a different kind of insufferable compared to this new crop.
