Because most gamers are losers, at least many who consider themselves 'serious gamers'. And it stems back to the fact that its an inherently antisocial hobby. You are indoors playing for hours on end, neglecting actual life and its pursuits. I say this as someone who has been enveloped by a similar boring lifestyle and is actively trying to change it up. Also I'd consider many normies these days to be in the same boat with different forms of shut in lifestyles becoming more popular.
