I still feel like this with Komaeda, too. I seemingly like him for very specific reasons that even Kodaka blatantly doesn't get and of course, 99% of the fandom doesn't either.
In all my years of fandom I've had an instict cringe reaction to anyone else who likes him, I'm just glad that in fanart their garbage interpretation doesn't show as bad as it does in writing.
