Correct, this is due to the nature of AI and Machine Learning itself; what did humanity do with the internet and the smartphone? Everyone knows that social media and the algorithms that work to mold your perceptions to funnel more clicks and more eyeballs glued to the screens because the entire global financial system is now a surveillance capitalist society where the end product is (You) - this is common knowledge now.
So what happens when AI is told to take this reality humanity has built for itself and to become an amplifier of all its aspects both good and bad? The siloing of individuals into their own echo chambers is amplified by alternative reality tech, surveillance tech, drugs, but most importantly a willingness from the ghost itself to escape - Like I say it becomes a While(true) loop where all of humanity stagnates under the weight of their own defined perfection.
