FGO is kinda like that by design, the Shadow Border is used the same way
sometimes it's just a logical implementation of the gadget (ie. Black Barrell shooty thing that needs to be shot, Shadow Border zero sails to avoid an unavoidable attack), but then inevitably you get shit like spiritron chaff grenades to avoid Zeus' thunder
