I can't really argue with that too much but if it wasn't plan A then somehow his wife must've been part of this realizing her husband is going to commit a horrible crime AND likely be killed, leaving her to deal with the FBI in perpetuity. AND THAT WAS HER ROLE but then he escaped long enough she's switching to a plan B which involves escape. I dunno. Maybe it's just been a long day. Your pieces do fit together, I'm just not sure how tightly.
