Yeah its true that during Winter War we weren't allied with anyone because no-one wanted to help and thought we'd be crushed in two more weeks.
In fact oft-forgotten is that Germany due to their pact at time with Soviets even blocked any arms shipments to finland and even volunteers from coming through german-held territory.
And only after we held so well against Soviets is when Hitler first of all thought this is the right time to strike the Soviets and secondly send Finland a DM that if we want to join the offense to take back the land the soviets stole.
So it was a mutually beneficial cooperation rather than really any ideological one, we wanted our land back and Germans wanted to use us to pressure the soviets from the north and use our soldiers to weaken the commies.

Sure there were some national socialists but some average Finn didnt know much about economic policies, kinda like today the average person doesn't understand that National Socialism is obviously the greatest economic system.

One thing we did share though is the hate for commies.
