writers basically came out and said they were forced to release a shit game and they knew it wasn't ready or even remotely good and that EA and the shitty bioware management were panicking trying to put RPG elements and serviceable writing into the game at the last minute

game had been a live service lite-MMO and they pulled the plug but forced them to keep using what they had
the cartoony ugly graphics were a result of the live service direction and they knew their regular fans would hate it in a regular RPG but had to use it
that's why fans are """"apologizing"""" to the writers now, since the writers were held at gunpoint to release trash and then EA used it as manufactured consent to then fire and trash the entire dragon age team and IP

i see this as just a really shitty situation all the way around and mostly bioware management and EA's fault. i mean the SJW writing didn't help but they knew they were fucked no matter what they did.
