IDK who you're intending this as a reply for, but if it's >>149688274 I explicitly said I enjoy Ultimate MJ and like that version of the character. The problem is 616 MJ.
What you have to understand is that there's not just "one" instance of MJ and she's either good or bad. 616 MJ and 6160 MJ are completely different characters, the same way 616 Peter Parker and 616 Ben Reilly are, or 616 Peter and 6160 30-something DILF Peter. The same way 616 Symbiote Venom and 6160 AI-Peter Nanosuit Venom are different characters. You can be sick of 616 MJ while still liking 6160 MJ, Raimi MJ, and even MCU MJ. The same way you can like post-crisis Superman but think Injustice Superman is fucking dogshit. They're different characters. There is no real person MJ reading lines off a script. She's not an actress, she's a character, and characters only exist via what's written for them.
616 MJ has been written so terribly for so long that she is, to many people, just a poorly-written character now. Even if you wrote Paul being run over by a train and Peter forgiving her and them getting married again in 616, it wouldn't undo all the trash decisions to that point. 616 MJ would have still been mad at Peter for not saving her despite being fucking dead and banged the hot mexican firefighter who saved her instead. 616 MJ would still have been banging paul in the pocket dimension and gotten attached to her IMAGINARY CHILDREN and chosen them over Peter. When said imaginary children disappear and are revealed to have never existed, 616 MJ would have still chosen to stay with Paul despite the main reason no longer existing.
In fact, thanks to the Marvel Sliding Timescale (TM), all these acts of infidelity now happened almost consecutively! MJ and Peter are forever under-30! That's a near yearly basis!
