I worked in a GAME store in 2008, and all of the game disks were kept in locked drawers behind the counter, the only thing on the shelves were empty boxes, when someone bought one we would get the disk out of the drawer and put it into the box, unless it was a brand new release on launch day, then we had sealed boxes with the disks in kept in the drawers that we would give to the customer if they brought us the empty box from the shelves
