I expected to dislike Sunset when I first watched EQG. I actually liked her. The first movie ended with her throwing a tantrum and attempting what in reality was a doomed invasion of Equestria to get back at her (non-related) mom. I found it amusing.
She was fine in the other movies, but I liked her most in Forgotten Friendship and Sunset Backstage Pass. It's funny to think she's basically Starlight Glimmer done right. Or rather, Starlight is Sunset done wrong.
