A year ago, they were creating shotgun dragoons on e-scooters. They seem to still have at least a few riding shotgun in their open-top ladas.
It is a bit of a mystery as to why they can't rustle up enough shotguns to equip a sizable number of lada-gunners though.

It's not like this is a new problem, the counter doctrine is well-established and media documenting it has been widely distributed.
