for sim, I use the stick, but not the throttle. left hand on the keyboard, right hand on the stick. bonus points if you have a trackpad, with it you can easily move your optics focus around, and guide missiles with more precision

yeah. we have many single-seat multirole aircraft because it is easy for jet pilots to fly and attack the ground efficiently. russia tried to replicate the success with ka-50s and it did not go so well.
