>Blames Ross for things that he isn't accountable for
>Mis-represents Rosse's segment about him as an attack
>Says Ross cut him out of context, provides no examples
>Attacks Rosses character instead of his arguments
>Says Ross has 'orbiters' Ross of all people
>"I still disagree with all of your points for the very reasons I stated"
Holy crap, how does anyone fall for this anymore?

I don't think it's about having a single skill, it's about having a singular goal.
If you want to start your own business, just as an example, you need to learn a wide skillset, from the thing you're selling, to communication, marketing, customer relations, accounting, risk management, how to outsource, and so on. You can, of course, just go work at a big company and do one of those things if you want, but if you're singularly focused, you can succeed in business.

Game development works in almost the same way, the difference being is that it's all about PRODUCT with maybe 5% marketing and there's a lot of ways to roll the sausage. Scott Cawthon art-MAXX'd and turned an animation degree/career into a game dev one, The Brotato Dev gameplay-MAXX'd and made a game with limited assets but as much gameplay variety as he could shove into it, Miziziziz esoteric-MAXX'd making every game with a unique premise.
The key is to recognize what your stat pentagram is and make your game along those lines. If you're good at art, focus on horror or a comfy game, if you're good at development, make a complex simulator, if you're creative, make creative game experiences that nobody else is.

Just make sure you're focusing on THE GAME and not making it one of five different side-projects, like drawing a webcomic, working on a YT channel, learning a new programming language, painting miniatures, learning guitar, or writing a book.
