>Idk if I lived in a coal town and my windows were dimmed and walls smoked id be pretty pissed, but yea the anti-nuclear seemed very inorganic
i'm pro-nuclear, and i think it's pretty sad it's just politically not viable here in the foreseeable future (though there are signals there could be a slow warming towards it).
that said -- inorganic -- i kind of disagree. the sentiment rose in the wake of chornobyl. of course that was a shitty RMBK reactor held together by duct-tape and glue, but still makes sense uninformed people would be more skeptical of nuclear after that. i'd say it's mostly organic (though boosted by russia & lobbying) but stupid.
>greens do seem pretty moderate on TZD policies though, better than the spd that was getting pumped with russian money through schalke gazprom sponsorships anyway, as far as brownie fugees then there is really no debate there
they have the nickname of "olive greens" here because they've mostly always been very pro-interventionist. they've been pro NATO intervention in serbia and have been pretty much the most pro-TZD party of any party that matters here.
