Does Generation X count?
The fact that money is worth 50% less than it was a decade ago is a huge motherfucking bummer. All my savings are basically cut in half and there's nothing you can do but watch as all your effort in life fades away to nothing. A fucking dozen eggs is 5.99. When I was a kid eggs were so worthless we threw them at houses for fun.
I don't live in a typical place, so my experience is way different than the rest of the US, but there's so many fucking people that can't speak one word of English everywhere I go. Every door dash driver is Russian, there are Muslims in nightgowns and beekeeper outfits walking around the grocery store like it's normal, and there has to be so many warning signs to cover all the languages these people speak so they can convey basically "Don't destroy public property" to these animals.
I just want to go back to the easy going, all white, cheap, mono-culture (same music, same movies, same books). Like my family was pretty poor in the 80s but we still had two TVs, two cars, and we went out to eat at Big Boy's once a week. I trusted all my neighbors with my life. Why would I ever lock my door in the 80s? To keep out who?
