'cuz pushing the envelope is a core element of pc gaymen. It has always been about either software pushing hardware past breaking point or hardware bending software over a barrel and showing it what POWA means. Playing old vidya where 800x600 and maybe 60fps was expected at something like 4k 240fps is objectively a better experience. Or like pic related where it runs 800fps above my monitor refresh rate.
