My pet theory about nekomata is she isn't a thiren at all, just dresses up like one like some thiren blackface (pic related, she doesn't have hind legs like a cat, she just wears boots that make it look like she does, she also puts on a cat accent, etc)
Orpheus is just straight up weird to the point we'll probably never see another one of her species represented in the game
