Can confirm, it was sold with the "sport" package. Mine doesn't have it. The mechanic who sold it to me just told me "change gear when the engine starts making some formula 1 noises", which is around 3000-3500 RPM. Never had a single issue doing this, and the car is almost 20 years old now.
