Apologies, a couple things came up again and it took a bit longer to get all this settled. We're back, but we're also close to calling this a wrap, just so you're all aware.

You give Basilea a bit of a side-eye before asking Misa, “So… Princess, what advice do you have for… dealing with a bratty, rebellious demon daughter?”
She very briefly glances at the elder Basilea as well, responding with, “Depending on how haughty and self-important she’s ended up with, either as the result of a terrible person raising her or her own attempt at finding a warped sense of self-worth, it might end up that you can only really connect with her after she’s had some of her ego checked.”
Basilea pouts, but she finds it hard to really argue with that. “Mmhh.”
“From there, you do what you can to catch up, show her all the affection she’s truly owed as your child. Let her understand that you do still care and want to be there for her.” She then pats the younger Basilea on the head, the baby giggling and babbling, with Princess Misa adding, “Though the sooner you can make it clear that you do want the best for her, the better. You may have a bit to really catch up on still, but from the sound of things, she’s still a kid. She’s still growing, and there’s likely a part of her that does want some kind of connection with you still, even if there’s some bitterness muddling it.”
You smile at her and nod appreciatively. “I’ll do what I can.”
“You, Cocoa, especially should take note of it.” Princess Misa adds. “You’ve gotta know where and how to put your foot down when handling a child like that. Your words will be your best weapon against her, so… might need to start practicing your ‘mom voice’ to use against her.”
“Got it.” she says assuredly.
“So… Basilea, you’ve been in situations at least mildly similar to hers. What would you say we should try to do to show we want to help her?” you address next.
“She likely believes herself to be stronger, smarter, and more capable than you are, but with the added acknowledgement that she knows you’ll try your best to catch up. Her tendency to try and vanish after completing an objective means she could have plenty of places she’d try to hide, especially if it means you failing to catch her after she’s completed another scheme. This… also indicates to me that she wants your attention, wants you to see her as important and worthy of respect.” Basilea explains… and it does sound like she’s speaking from years experience, more than even you’re aware of. And you’re aware of quite a bit. “There’s a careful balance of arrogant self-importance and clever tactics she’ll play against you, gambling out what she thinks will have the biggest impact on you.”
