I think that some of my problem also came from only having a vague idea of what I wanted to pose and no reference material. It was kinda supposed to be a resting seated pose with a combination of a lean on the sword but I don't think the dynamics work to combine the two. I'm trying to conjure the image of something I vaguely remember maybe existing and it wasn't enough to go off of. Oh well.
