i haven't touched it in a while, but i remember it feeling very soupy at times since it's made by slavs and still in alpha i think. however the number of deranged factions and new levels make up for it.

not sure about efp specifics, but new build of an engine with multithreading for anomaly dropped recently. it apparently works with efp so you might want to check that out. look for AOEngine on moddb addons.
