yeah varg has some pretty cringe takes on paganism. the AFA is doing actual research and rituals, varg is funny as a meme but his 'research' and ideology is trash. I bought one of his books many years ago and it said valhalla was just a concept in your head and the gods are just psychological archetypes, stopped reading past that frankly. of course its silly to think that the Gods are merely physical beings who look like viking dudes, but its even more silly to think that they done exist at all and are merely constructs or concepts. might as well be atheist with a mere scholarly interest in norse mythology
