As you examine the room, you find many of the other contenders that were present were watching you closely. Were they taking measure of your strength as well? Or were they like Homer? People that back in Fodlan, had been big fishes in small ponds, and whose egos had expanded after completing the trip to Morfis. The lack of meaningful conflict over the last 25 years had made it so that many of the fighters present in this country, with the exception of the likes of Arios and Leonora, were relatively unknown. You’d have likely been included in those ranks had it not been for your recent victory over Klement. Were these guys going to be inexperienced weaklings? Or were there going to be a slew of dark horses? Men you’d never heard of that could match your might?

For the sake of your boredom, you hoped it was the latter.

Night soon falls, and you are shown to your quarters in the Embassy. You are given a private room that, while not as nice as the one you’d enjoyed in Shangri-La, still offers you many comforts that you would not enjoy had you still been camping in the desert.
