Denver museum of natural history contains a dinosaur section.
They were recently doing some digging 50 meters away from museum building to create more parking space for cars.
It was a total suprrise what they pulled out from 33 meters below ground: a Denversaurus fossil!
It was just one bone but dinosaur expert knew immediately what it was.
This bones is 65 million years old and the dinosaur went exting about 65 million years ago (exact timing can only be pinpointed at 1 million year accuracy, a lot can happen in as little as 0.1 million years, like apes turning into human)
Hagadorn said they cant do more digging to try to find more bones : "We cant ruin the parking lot for extended periods of time so for now any further secrets will remain a secret"
The newly found bone was immediately added to the museum collection but of course any US dinosaur researcher can request to see it for study.
