1) it takes a lot of time to draw multiple characters and environments
2) its more difficult to make it look GOOD in the game. because one thing will go off and your whole game will look shitty and unfinished.
While pixel art makes your game look in harmony and in 1 style even if your pixel art is shitty looking (then it will look "soulful" or "ironically neat")
3) it's easy to make a 2D game look like 2000s flash games

other stuff like that
