Relative measurement, objective strength is not related to other people. It is intrinsic and axiomatic. That is why most reply to these pissing contest with "there's always a bigger fish". To focus yourself on zero-sum mentality of dog-eat-dog world robs you of joy of bettering yourself. If people were to base their whole identity of being better than the average then we would have greatness.

What matters the most is that you are stronger than you were yesterday.

it's really not that difficult to understand that all people (men or women) develop attachment difficulties if they do not practice attachment in a healthy way.

This concerns both extremes: those who switch partners too often, and those who spend half of their life without partners. In both cases it's a pathology which makes bonding awkward and unstable.
Healthy relationships aren't free - they require a lot of self-work and self-discovery for both partners. Most people can't sustain a relationship because they are too blind to their own personal vulnerabilities and imperfections. And while a roastie is a psychopath by definition, a shut-in loner is psychologically too under-developed to learn to love himself, let alone to love another person in a non-destructive way.

What is the /pol/ opinion of psychology? Even in the short time from when it became a science in the late 1800s until now there has been a wide range of opposing ideas and concepts.
