Popular maybe, but not best. Most boss-rushy of them all and they double-down on the whole 'epic scale grand theatre' theme of bosses that plagued each title, especially the end (DLC) of DS3. Gael and Midir are great examples of this where midwits are amazed by it but can't see that the bosses are basically the player, actually doing something 90% of the time where the player is only engaging 10% (at best) of the time. Very disappointing. Especially considering how From were pre-Demon's Souls, they had great atmosphere and mood, but slowly but surely threw it all away for...boss shit. Very lame and most people (especially those who say shit like Elden is the best title) are completely ignorant of their work.
Soul to soulless. Ironic.
