The headcanon is that Marvel fans actually care about Peter Darker at all. Or any of Marvel's other lazily "diverse" characters that are just raceswapped versions of the characters everyone actually likes. DC's got the same issue too. Notice how Marvel doesn't give a shit about any of their actual original black characters like Black Panther or Blade, but will shill black Peter Parker any chance they get. Really makes you think......
