People really neglect that having the tiniest bit to latch onto for a character can really elevate them to a lot of waifus. For the longest time Daphne was easily written off as Vapid Monsterbait where atleast Velma had a nerd schtick while still being pretty cute.
Daphne being the dogged eight wheel sister of a perfect family with the only genuine drive to solve a mystery put her over.
