The comic is making the point yaoi (female erotica about gay men) is something that can only truly appeal to the female mind and straight men will typically if not always feel adversion towards (although I disagree with shipping being fucking activism, even if prioritizing a purely female hobby can have feminist connotations). This rings espacially true when you read MtF trannies' opinion of yaoi/slash.
