If you're hitting the end and don't want to squish or stretch it too much remove the hard plastic end or just cut off end if its soft, I've done it with all of my 3-4 inch depth onaholes so I can use them more like a 'sleeve' that moves along the whole length. For the sometimes sharp plastic on the hard ones I sanded one of mine to remove that risk
