>have an extra couple of days where I'm not seeing older relatives so want to go do stuff in the city
>uncle's son (22) and daughter (24) offer to come along
>don't really know her but I talk to him sometimes and he's a cool guy
>mostly talk to him the first day, she's not silent but mostly just chimes in every now and again
>on day 2 he has to cancel because of work
>she says she'll still go with me but clearly not as excited about it as she was before
>kind of awkward at first but get into talking by the time we get to the train station
>she laughs and warms up a lot when I completely fail to figure out how to use the turnstiles at Penn Station
>by late afternoon notice she's looking directly at me a lot more and walking a lot closer
>touch her arm to point something out to her without really thinking about it, she starts doing the same thing to me
>conversation gets more personal
>don't connect the dots because I'm a virgin
>end up staying out much later than we originally planned
>don't get back to the hotel I was staying at (and where her car was parked) until almost midnight
>ask if she wants a drink or to use the bathroom before she drives home
>she says yes, steps a bit closer to me, then seems to suddenly realize what she thinks we're doing
>starts stammering about how late it is and how she doesn't want to take up any more of my time
>this just confuses me, tell her it's fine
>she must have seen I was genuinely confused
>turns bright red and says she'll follow me
>It all hits me at this point
>she rushes in and out without a word
>tells her brother and parents she got food poisoning and couldn't leave her apartment until after I left
