They never will becuse they are fundamentally incapable of that kind of vision or thought. Their entire world is being the big man on campus in the office. They don't think about the people in the next building, let alone give a shit about us, the world, or even themselves. There is nothing in their cosmology but big number go up, which is a number their reality is also totally divorced from. Whether the company makes money has no effect on whether they personally make money. They live in a cookie clicker.

Most of these CEOs will be long dead before this even turns them a profit, let alone begins to unravel the social fabric they unknowingly rely on. By the time that happens, I'm sure we'll have a new Alexander the Great or Hitler or something and he'll sort shit out.
