Yes-Man: I almost didn’t recognize you with all of those bandages, Courier. I love the new look!
You almost didn’t make it down to the Penthouse from the helicopter pad, having to take multiple breaks to stop the pain from overtaking you.
[Yes-Man, what happens if I don’t have the Platinum Chip on me?]
As usual, his smiley facade doesn’t change from the big screen.
Yes-Man: Well that would be an issue, even for someone like you! I suppose you’re still the boss, until someone finds the Chip and inserts it here in the Lucky 38 or at Fortification Hill! The only way around that is to insert yourself in House’s Chamber system. Which would override the authority of the Platinum Chip. But we saw how that worked out for him!
You still have control, that’s an immediate crisis averted. If someone finds the Chip, they would still have to make their way here or across the river and know how to use it. That begs the question, who has the knowledge of this system AND the means to carry it out? The Platinum Chip is your best-kept secret, not even telling those closest to you the true power or ability of that tiny little poker chip.
[And you’re not going to go all crazy robot on me, are you?]
Yes-Man: Even if I wanted to, I couldn’t with my current programming! I suppose if someone were to reprogram me, but that’s not an easy task and I can confidently say no one has tried that yet!
You can’t help but breathe out a sigh of relief. The Mojave is still yours, for now.
[Yes-Man, please send for Julie and tell her I’m requiring medical assistance. Have them bring the Auto-Doc to my room, as well as a team of doctors. I’m not feeling too good.]
His response is lost in a sudden burst of vertigo, your strength quickly waning now that you know the immediate crisis has passed. Instead of heading to your room, you climb the stairs and fall into the Penthouse bed, hoping that the Followers can get here quickly.
>The Courier is severely injured, which is impacting his abilities. He’s limited to one Courier action instead of two, but can keep both diplomatic actions (just for the coming turn)
