In 2010 Afrojak became world famous with this song, which by today's standards is amateurish at best

(he was already well known in the scene, with even worse songs)
Then went on to make more generic EDM trash and become one of the world's top EDM DJs/producers (currently worth around $50M), going on to date Paris Hilton and marrying the granddaughter of Ferruccio Lamborghini.
Would he have made it today? Most likely not. He took the opportunity that was available to him at that time (lower bar and less competition) to succeed before it became too hard.
The same can very well apply to us right now. There's a good chance that in 10 years it will be much harder to make it than now, possibly harder than it would be for 2010's Afrojack to make it today, and we're just wasting an opportunity that we're not seeing yet.
So the moral of the story is:
Stop trying to make art. The sooner you sell out and make it by any means necessary, the better off you'll be.
You can make art later, or just quit music altogether once your success gives you better things to do with your time (like playing with your billionaire wife's massive titties).
