I was an electrician specializing in generators for 10 years. Was barely getting by financially, working long hours, hard dangerous work, looked down on by women, and seeing customers younger/dumber than me living in McMansions raising families, working from home, all because they did the song and dance for their degrees Decided I’d rather be homeless than continue being in the trades, now I’m in engineering school with a bright future. Trades are a trap, but if you do go to college, study something that’s actually worth it.
