Russian Drone and Air Strikes Hit Ukraine's Sumy Region, Damage Homes
Russian forces launched a large-scale drone and air attack on the Shostka district in Ukraine's northern Sumy region on Thursday morning, damaging residential buildings and infrastructure, according to Ukrainian officials.
The attacks, which occurred after 7:00 a.m., involved unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) striking several communities. In the Yampil community, six Russian drones hit the village of Bilytsia, destroying three houses and damaging thirteen other buildings. An additional air strike was reported in the Shostka community, which damaged several infrastructure facilities.
Fires broke out as a result of the strikes, and emergency services were dispatched to the scenes. According to preliminary reports from the regional military administration, there were no casualties among the civilian population.
