Why Iranian MRBMs can’t hit anything: I bet it’s because they weren’t able to source high-end INS (Inertial Navigation System). Consumer-grade INS modules from America are very good and can be sourced from multiple sanction-evasion suppliers. In fact all of the advanced electronics in their new weapons systems are running off American chips, that’s how they can even make these weapons to begin with. But for a ballistic missile you need the REALLY high-end stuff which you can’t just buy from Mouser — if you ever want to hit what you’re aiming at. You have to buy those things custom from the manufacturer who are tightly regulated by American / EU export control bodies.
