If you are incapable of not self-inserting into a character you play as and cannot simply make a whatever character (be it male or female) for the simplest reason that you think they would be cool or fun to control/play as, you have unironic mental disorder.

Self-inserting is what killed many modern media, ESPECIALLY RPGs because now in nu-DnD and WoW etc. you have retarded shit like wheelchairs, vitiligo etc. because those losers HAVE to see themselves in the medium, when they see a playable girl, they HAVE to think they are that girl.
