Driving to work on Juneteenth I learned that some people think an African king, Mansa Abu Bakr II, sailed to the Americas before Columbus. The lady who presented the piece clearly believed it but NPR, who was hosting the segment, made a point of adding a disclaimer before the piece that it's probably not real and I thought that was hilarious.
