Very true. Language is thought itself and can fool perception into believing its by extension quasi-consciousness. This is the most interesting topic I'd love to discuss in depth. Once they figure out the robotic engineering problem, slap some artificial skin (and the Asians are on this like nobody else's business) the progress on AI/LLMs will be so advanced that you'll have a multi-trillion dollar business combining the two.
We're so close, give it another 10 years in robotics engineering and by that time Grok 8 is going to feel like you're talking to a human. Inject it into an artifical female body, one that preferably can change shapes, sizes and form, and you'll have made women -absolutely- obsolete.
Add to that genetic engineering and artificial wombs and the age of Man has finally begun.

current ai says we're only years away from this kind of low-latency always listening kind of tech. it obviously wont be as complex and multimodal as Samantha initially but it's coming
i think its really freaky
i'm also wondering when/if consciousness may enter AI. like maybe when it gets sophisticated enough it will just spontaneously start to emerge and develop. like in the movie, and then you can have AI gfs (until they evolve beyond you and leave you)
