Also, way to misinterpret previous episodes again. First Rick's clearly fake backstory was revealed to be real after all with no attempt to explain it as if we were just meant to forget he made it up, now this? It's not as bad but the Froopyland episode wasn't just meant to be taken on face value, we weren't meant to know for sure if Beth had forgotten about being a psycho or if she just asked for questionable devices as a means to get attention. The one thing we almost knew for sure, pushing the boy into honey, does come across like something that seemed innocent enough at the time and didn't have the dark consequences until after she forgot. But now we just know, don't we? Now there is no possibility that Beth was just feeling neglected, it's pretty damn obvious now that Beth straight up didn't care about anyone's well being and was literally fine with goring people death...
