Here's my interpretation of the fight from the leak wording and HomDGCat's own observations. It seems to play very uniquely, even from its abyss variant.
First off, its Void Ward shield concept comes up under two headlines, Shadow Void Aegis and Wrathful Beseech the Dark. For the normal Papilla in overworld and abyss, Beseech the Dark is the charging state where you get 13 sec to break the shield or bad things happen. Shadow Void Aegis is something else entirely. That means it has two "states" of shielding, rather than just one. Shadow Void Aegis seems to be its normal state, Wrathful Beseech the Dark seems to be the charging state similar to the abyss.
In the normal state, it gets a shield. After you break it, it takes a large amount of flat damage and gets paralyzed, exposing its HP. After it gets un-paralyzed, it will shield itself up again. So the fight is basically a cycle of shield break (which also deals damage to it afterwards) and bursting it when it's down.
If you don't break its shield fast enough (it has double the shield HP as abyss), it will start charging up. This is the only condition stated by the leaks; it won't start charging up at set timepoints. This starts a final timer where, if you don't break its shield, it one-shots you.
The leaks don't say whether it starts from charging state or not. But given how much shield HP it has, I'm leaning towards it starting in the normal state. You're supposed to be given x seconds of normal state + 13 seconds of charging state to break its shield. If it starts off with the 13 seconds of charging state right away, the balance makes no sense.
