but i suspect we would have dropped nuclear energy regardless because we drop anything that is efficient and works well in favor of less efficient methods that force higher costs onto consumers at every turn
for example, the US used to have the world's best passenger train network and now our cities are huge parking lots for people who live in suburbs which are car based communities and it makes everyone's lives more expensive and less efficient
