Not that anyone here cares but they're not infinite. They're not even that big either, as they supposedly ""only"" 'take a lifetime to cross'. Aside from that, while the realms are relatively stable and normal near the centre, as you veer out towards the edges they get more satiated with the respective realms' attributes, making them practically unliveable. The edge of hysh is so bright it could blind the literal god of light, the outer edges of ghyran will have you trapped in a permanent hellish cycle of pregnancy and giving birth, shit like that. The main conflicts of the setting take place within this habitable zone surrounding the centre. For all intents and purposes aos basically takes place in a solar system with 8 planets.

Those awful early aos maps look so similar to the guy that did the realms of chaos ones for whfb, I'm convinced it's the same guy by his """"art""""style.
